Jennie Lee Borski, 86, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2022, in Austin, Texas.

She was born on September 23, 1935, to Raymond and Lena (Kuhn) Braden in Sealy, Texas. On September 2, 1961, she married the love of her life, Florian “Floyd” Borski.

Jennie was a full-time housewife and homemaker who through her years worked at St. Anthony’s Catholic School Cafeteria and within the Columbus Independent School District’s cafeterias at various campuses.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society. Jennie was a devoted Christian and loved Jesus Christ. She enjoyed working in her garden and yard, tending to her flowers, and feeding her birds. She was her children’s and grandchildren’s greatest fan and supporter during their school years and extracurricular activities. She was soft spoken yet, had a heart of gold. She was always there, anytime of the day or night for her family and friends.

Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lena Braden; her brother, Lee Ray Braden; and baby sister, Cecilia.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; daughters, Janet Briscoe and husband Wayne of Cat Spring, Texas, and Cathy Spranger and husband Rob of Leander, Texas; son Stephen and wife Melissa of McKinney, Texas; grandchi ldren, Amanda and Brandon Briscoe, Emma Spranger, Conner and Claire Turner; brother, William “Bill” Braden and wife Barbara of College Station; sister, Barbara Machinsky of Columbus, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to express their deepest appreciation to devoted caregivers and friends Hazel Smallwood, Marlene Hargrove, Sherry Moore, and Barbara Toliver, for all of the time, care, and compassion they shared with Jennie.

Visitation wi ll be Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. Parish prayer service and rosary will be Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas, with Msgr. Chester Borski, Fr. Augustine Asante, Deacon Jeff Borski, and Deacon John Glueck officiating. Visitation at church will be from 9 to 10 a.m.

Burial will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Columbus, Texas. Pallbearers are Brandon Briscoe, Travis Herchek, Glenn Horndt, Jerry Marusik, Donny Borski and Gary Borski.
