Patsy Ann Jones, 87, of Bernardo, passed away on Aug. 24 at home.

She was born Apr. 23, 1934 to Gary A. Paschall and Ora Lee Tyler in New Gulf. She grew up in Eagle Lake and married Roy James Jones Aug. 5, 1949.

Patsy was a homemaker and received her degree to become a cosmetology teacher. She had a beauty shop in Bernardo for a number of years and retired from teaching cosmetology at Sealy ISD. She was an Honorary Member of Cosmetology Instructors of Public Schools (CIPS) and a life member of Texas Industrial Vocational Association (TIVA).

She attended St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, where she was a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Patsy is survived by her grandchildren Thomas Ryan Mills and wife Denise of Montgomery; Terry Alexsandria Macdonald and husband Darren of Yorkshire, England; Trenton Royce Mills and wife Crystal of Missouri City, and great-grandchildren, Ethan Mills, Katelyn Mills, Harper Mills, Phoenix Mills and a step great-grandson, Jacob Smelley.

She was preceded in death by her father Gary A. Paschall; mother, Ora Lee Tyler; husband, Roy James Jones; daughter, Cathy Elaine Jones; son, Teral Jeffrey Jones and siblings, Arline Plott, Gene Paschall, Alvin Paschall, Lester Paschall and Danny Lee Gibson.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Aug. 28 at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz with Fr. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 27 at Henneke Funeral Home, and at church Saturday. A Parish Prayer Service and Catholic Daughters Rosary was Friday evening.

Burial took place at St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz. Pallbearers were Butch Paschall, Paige Paschall, Gary Stavinoha, Cameron Frey, Brian Psencik and Tom Mills. Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Frey, Earl Frey, Whyman Psencik, Maynard Ripper and Monroe Ripper.
