Judita “Judy” Supak, 94, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2022, in La Grange, Texas.

She was born on April 12, 1928, to Louis Drab and Julia (Baca) Drab in Fayetteville, Texas. On May 17, 1977, she married Laddie Supak.

Nanny Judy owned and operated her own home daycare for many years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger for the last several years. Previously she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus for many years.

Judy and Laddie enjoyed attending Polka dances all over Texas. Judy loved dancing. She loved attending school and sporting events of her grandchildren and she had numerous picture albums of those. She enjoyed sewing clothes and costumes for her grandchildren.

She spent a great deal of time researching her family and her husband Laddie’s family geneology. She traveled all over Texas visiting cemeteries, libraries and courthouses to obtain information and to take pictures of grave stones. She incorporated that into family history books, which she was happy to copy for family members. In 1980, she started the first yearly Drab family reunion, which has continued to this day.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Judy Beck, of La Grange; sons, Randall Beck, of Fayetteville, and Mike Beck and his wife Suzy, of Pensacola, Florida; half-sister, Ann Jurica, of Spring; sister-in-law, Dorothy Drab, of La Grange; grandchildren, Toby Leal, Patricia Dukich, Bradley Beck, Randy Beck, Brenda George, Sybil Wright, Bobby Beck, Karl Goehring, Elsa Rooks, Patrick Blair, Martha Blair and Christopher Beck; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and her best friend and companion, her dog Rudy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Drab and Julia Baca Drab; husband, Laddie Supak; son, T.J. Beck, Jr.; granddaughter, Whitney Blair; sister, Evelyn Malinowski; half-sister, Evelyn Jurica; brothers, Ruddie Drab and Lawrence Drab; and half-brother, Edwin (Sonny) Drab.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and rosary followed at 7 p.m.. Funeral service was Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger, Texas, with Fr. Steve Sauser officiating. Visitation at the church was from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Pallbearers were Jake Blair, Josh Blair, Barrett Kay, Christopher Morales, Ben Drab and Leo Leal. Honorary pal lbearers were Makena McMullin, Everly McMullin and Zoey Valla.
