Rosemary Emily Frenzel, 91, of Bernardo, Texas, passed away on Feb. 1, 2023, in Eagle Lake, Texas.

She was born on March 9, 1931 to August Neuendorff and Dora (Witte) Neuendorff in Bernardo, Texas. On June 12, 1948 she married Alois Frenzel.

Rosemary was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. She enjoyed her involvement in the church. She also enjoyed gardening and especially tending to her flowers. Rosemary loved cooking and baking and took great joy out of feeding her large family. She was always sure to have homemade cookies on hand for the kids when they visited.

She is survived by her daughters Grace Oppermann of Bernardo, Marjorie Frenzel of Bernardo, Edna Venghaus of Columbus, Mary Torres and husband Jesse of Weimar, and Laura Walla and husband Glen of Columbus; sons Stanley Frenzel and wife Shirley of Columbus, James Frenzel and wife Mary Lou of Rock Island, and David Frenzel and wife Bernadette of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters Ernestine Henneke and Jeanette Rhodes.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents August and Dora Neuendorff; husband Alois Frenzel; sons Raymond Frenzel and Richard Frenzel; sonsin- law Kevin Oppermann and Gregory Venghaus; sisters Bernice Kuhn and Dorothy Wyland; brother Ellis Neuendorff.

Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and rosary were held at 7 p.m.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas with Fr. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Visitation at church was from 9-10 a.m.

Burial took place in St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz, Texas.

Pallbearers were Chris Frenzel, Craig Frenzel, Jimmy Frenzel, Evan Venghaus, Johnny Guzman and Brian Kainer.

Memorials may be given to St. Roch Altar Society, 1600 Frelsburg Road, Alleyton, Texas 78935.
