Jerry Wayne “Skippy” Shupak, Jr. was born Aug. 27, 1971 in Columbus to Jerry Shupak, Sr. and Shirley Adamek. He went to heaven July 1.

On Dec. 4, 2004 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Karen Amy Kutac. To this marriage he was blessed with two sons who were his pride and joy; Jonathan Wesley and Hunter James.

Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his garage fixing and repairing things. If there was a way for something to be fixed Jerry would sit there and study it until he figured out a solution.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Karen Shupak of Weimar; sons Jonathan and Hunter Shupak of Weimar; mother Shirley Ryba of Weimar; sisters Kari Nagelmueller and husband Heath of Shiner and Stacy Ryba and husband James of Schulenburg; mother-in-law Bernice Kutac of Weimar, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Patrick and Karen Kutac of San Antonio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Renee and Frank Hlavinka of East Bernard and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, father-in-law and stepfather.

Visitation will be at St. Michael Catholic Church in Weimar Saturday, July 9 from 8 – 9 a.m. with funeral service at 9 a.m. with Fr. Wayne Flagg officiating.

Services are under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home.

Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Weimar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Michael Catholic School, P.O. Box 36, Weimar, TX 78962 or your charity of choice.
