Columbus Food Pantry sees growth, change
COLUMBUS – Plenty of changes and improvements defined a big year for the Columbus Food Pantry during 2023. Each important factor of their operations experienced several tweaks as they try to reach as many families as possible with their service. Throughout the year, they stayed committed to their goal of supplementing the needs of their clients to help them become independent at some point.

The annual ‘Soup for your Soul’ and toy drive event has grown in magnitude each year as the group of donors and volunteers help feed and give gifts to families for the holiday season.

County 4-H members take on dairy judging contests
Colorado County 4-H members had a successful weekend at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Dairy Judging Contest. This contest gave members the opportunity to evaluate heifers and cows in the Jersey, Brown Swiss and Holstein breeds, as well as giving seniors an opportunity to give oral reasons as to why they placed a class.
