Communities who serve
Colorado County is filled with many organizations and outstanding individuals whose focus is simply–to serve! An appropriate tag line might be, “A Community of Service.” Difficult to name all the service organizations, but from the people of Columbus and throughout Colorado County a very large, “Thank You” to all the organizations, their members, and any who volunteer hours of their life to serve in their communities and for all they give to create, support, and grow a deeper quality of life.

Local woman takes lived experience to state board
When Donna Kunz, a Columbus native, was first invited to serve on the Texas Brain Injury Advisory Council in August 2019, she knew she would be able to share her experience of living with an acquired brain injury, but educating people on what it really means has been Kunz’s mission since receiving her invitation in June to serve again.

Colorado County earns Excellence in Safety Award
COLUMBUS – At the Colorado County Commissioners Court meeting on July 24, the county was presented the 2022 Excellence in Safety Award from the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool for its record of excellence in involvement and commitment to safety in the workplace, as well as for controlling workers’ compensation claims.
