Read moreThe Columbus High School football team is hosting an event for team parents and the community on Aug. 3 in the Columbus High cafeteria. The event will start off with a meeting for the parents of Columbus’ football players at 5:30. The coaches will have the chance to explain to the parents the expectations and requirements for their student-athletes as they go through preseason camps and navigate through the regular season. After that brief visit with the parents, the proceedings will move on to the Old Gym in the high school for a Cards’ football pep rally that is open to the public. The rally will begin at 6 pm with an open invitation for any Cardinal football fans in the area. Following the pep rally, the event will return to the cafeteria for an ice cream social. Parents will get a chance to visit each other and the coaches as they work together to be on the same page for the 2022 season.
