This story covered the Aug. 9 Columbus City Council meeting. It has been brought to the newspaper’s attention that there may be some inaccuracies in that article. There was another Columbus City Council meeting Monday, Aug. 23. Due to meeting attendance capacities, The Citizen was unable to gain entrance to the meeting and report on it in the Aug. 25 edition. The Citizen filled out information request paperwork to obtain the recordings of both the Aug. 9 and the Aug. 23 meetings. The City of Columbus has fulfilled the The Citizen’s information request. Once The Citizen has completed review of the recordings, we will promptly issue clear corrections, report on this topic accurately, reliably and responsibly, and issue retractions as necessary.
