I am eighteen and have been on my own since I was about sixteen. Because of the spread of COVID-19 at Texas ChalleNGe Academy (TCA), all but two cadets, I and another student, have been sent home to quarantine for ten days. The other cadet’s parents are out of the country. I am glad that TCA has let us stay, and I know that we are safe here while isolating ourselves from others. Without this opportunity to stay, I don’t know what I would have done.
