This ain’t my first rodeo - I’ve reduced my sugar and caffeine intake before, and, once you get past the withdrawal symptoms, the results are great. But, as with any other addiction, once you fall off the wagon, it can be hard to climb back on. Generally, I live by “everything in moderation,” but sugar is my life-force.

It became a weekly event where many vendors and residents gathered to sell their produce or their handmade items. It became a social event. We would compare pickling, canning or cooking ideas. Keep up with who was getting married or having a baby. The passing of old friends. Home remedies for this or that. It was a builtin co-op whereby if someone needed a particular item we were always there to help supply with each other’s needs… egg cartons, plastics bags, and plastic plant containers. The friendships became solid and a trust was developed. We were all opinioned, but that never stopped us from supporting and caring for each other. The stories are priceless!
