Oakridge VFD sets spring fundraiser

A chili cook-off contestant dishes up chili at the Oakridge VFD’s fall fundraiser last year. The VFD has another fundraiser set for May 4.
OAKRIDGE — The Oakridge Volunteer Fire Department has set May 4 for its spring chicken fried steak dinner fund-raiser, which will include a raffle and live auction.
The event is set for 5 p.m. untiil 8 p.m. at the Oakridge Ranch Community Center, 1904 Oakridge Road. This is located in Section 10 of Oakridge Ranch.
Meals are being served in exchange for a goodwill donation to the fire department. Carryout plates are available.
Tickets are available at Texana Shooting Supply, M-G, Schneider Tire & Lube, and from Oakridge Volunteer Fire Department and Oakridge VFD Auxiliary Members.
Tickets will also be available at the fundraiser while supplies last.
