Eagle Lake city council voted to move one step closer to a $0.72622 per $100 valuation of property tax rate at their Aug. 13 meeting. This is the highest property tax rate the city can adopt without calling an election. Council also approved Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
