Virginia Mae “Ginner” Wallace Fehrenkamp, of Columbus, passed away Mar. 18 at the age of 92. She was born to James Keat Wallace and Lois Obenhaus Wallace May 31, 1927 in Yoakum. She was united in marriage to Delmar C. Fehrenkamp Apr. 18, 1949 and happily married for 64 years.

Virginia was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and great mother to her two sons. She was a Cub Scout den mother and Sunday school teacher. She was a devoted Christian lady who was baptized in the Glidden Baptist Church in 1939 and later confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church November 25, 1951 where she was still an active member. Virginia was an officer in American Lutheran Church Women (ALCW ) and a member of the Altar Guild for many years, as well as a current member of “Mary and Martha” since 1962.

Virginia loved to bake and garden in her spare time. She won Yard of the Month numerous times. She was an active member of the Columbus Garden Club and a member of the birthday club, which met monthly. Virginia was preceded

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and James Wallace and her husband, Delmar C. Fehrenkamp. She is survived by her sons David Fehrenkamp and his significant other Sarah Guzzetta of Houston and Robert “Bob” Fehrenkamp and wife Carol of Houston; sister Patsy Jones and husband Richard “Dick” of Houston and sister-in-law Delores Purcell of Columbus. Six grandchildren Brad Fehrenkamp, Kristen Rudolph and husband Ahren, Melanie Duncan and husband Randall, Dana Tew and wife Nicole, Allison Campbell and husband Nolan, Elizabeth Garcia and husband Chris, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Fehrenkamp, Ahren Rudolph, Nolan Campbell, Randall Duncan, Dana Tew, Chris Garcia, and Mitchell Duncan.

A private family service will be held for Virginia Fehrenkamp and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
