Dianna Kansteiner Foster, 72, of Columbus, passed away Dec. 3 in Webster.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1949 to Homer Kansteiner and Eleanora (Geistman) Kansteiner in Columbus. She grew up in Columbus attending St. Anthony’s School and graduating from Columbus High School. On Jan. 31, 1970 she married Albert L. “Pete” Foster, Jr.

Dianna worked in the newspaper industry, first, at the Colorado County Citizen, and then at the Houston Post for many years. After leaving the Houston Post and returning to Columbus she worked in bookkeeping as well as various positions with the school district before retiring.

Dianna enjoyed craft ing, especially sewing and quilting. She was a gifted painter and woodworker. She was a Lifetime Member of the Colorado County Quilt Guild and spent time helping out at the Columbus Sewing Lab. She enjoyed sharing her talents with others.

Dianna is survived by her daughter Abbigail Pendergraft and husband John of League City; sister Patsy Supak and husband Tom of Brenham; grandchildren Peter Pendergraft, Corra Pendergraft, and Ellianna Pendergraft.

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Eleanora Kansteiner; husband Albert L. “Pete” Foster, Jr.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus.

Graveside service will be Thursday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus. Deacon John Glueck will be officiating.

Burial will take place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
