Karen Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered into heaven’s gates Oct. 12, walking into the arms of her parents, Jack and Ida Albert, along with her nephew, Brandon, who preceded her.

Karen was a devoted person to her husband Alonzo Hernandez, her daughters Susan Friedrich, Angela Dach, and Ashley Hernandez and their spouses, Michael, B.J. and Allison. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren Caleb, Autumn and Landon, and was so proud of her family!

Karen had such love for her siblings Michael Albert, Sandy Mesnard, Barb Bustamante and Jim Albert along with their spouses and families. They all made time for each other, even living states apart they were all very close.

Karen taught those around her how to be a fighter, battling cancer with other complications for over ten years. She handled this journey with grace. Her strong faith was prevalent wherever she went and she had no limits sharing the love in her heart with people she encountered through her life.

Services will be officiated by Pastor Gary Henneke, who along with the church supported Karen through the years. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 25 at Henneke Funeral Home, 1515 Montezuma St., Columbus, TX 78934 from 5 – 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at Frelsburg Baptist Church in Frelsburg, 1841 FM 109, New Ulm, TX 78950.

Online condolences may be given to the family at www.hennekefuneralhome.com.
