Maria Inez Tello De Reyna, 75, of Columbus, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021. She was surrounded by her six children and her husband of forty-five years.

Maria was born on January 21, 1946, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She loved to love on people and shared her love for cooking with everyone she met.

Maria’s passion for cooking allowed her to fulfill her lifelong dream of opening her own restaurant. Maria’s Restaurant opened in 1996 and continues to operate after 25 years.

Maria loved spending time with her family and cooking for her grandchildren. Her heart was the fullest when her family was together.

Maria is survived by her husband Hilario Reyna; her children Olivia Wolff and husband Mike, Jose Ramos, Irma Ramos, Sylvia Zayas and husband Albie, Camelia Luna and husband Jesse, Carmen Lara and hus band Alex; siblings Maria Molina, Concepcion Tello, Alicia Perez, Juaquin Tello, Reyes Tello, and Francisco Tello; 21 grandchildren, Manuel, Amber, Isabella, Steven, Kyle, Estrella, Romeo, Alex, Erica, Walker, Marisol, Belle, Chris, Josh, Eric, Diego, Duviel, Ella, Xavier, and Giovanni; 5 great-grandchildren, Flora, Elijah, Ayden, Zayyan, and Xander; many nephews and nieces. All these she loved and touched deeply.

Maria was preceded in death by her father Leonardo Tello; mother, Andrea Cedillo Tello, grandson Manuel Ramos.

A visitation/celebration of life was held Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas, and on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A rosary was held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service was Friday, July 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home, with Pastor Ramiro Jaime officiating. Burial followed in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kyle Wolff, Steven Wolff, Chris Galvan, Josh Luna, Eric Luna, Diego Luna, Alex Lara, Romeo Lara, and Walker Dunn.
