Marcelline Sophie (Fojtik) Steinhauser, 86, of Columbus, passed away Dec. 6 in Houston.

She was born Sept. 19, 1935 to Albin Fojtik and Agnes (Kubena) Fojtik in Weimar.

Marcelline worked as a housekeeper for many years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Marcelline enjoyed gardening, taking care of flowers, sewing, and watching her great grandchildren play and have fun. She also really enjoyed her granddaughter Kimberly’s cooking.

Marcelline is survived by her daughter Carolyn A. McMillan; son Eugene E. Steinhauser; grandchildren Jennifer Nanez, Bennie Lopez, and Kimberly Peikert; great-grandchildren Chloe Peikert, Jude Peikert, Tristan Nanez, Ayden Nanez, Scarlet Nanez, and Jordan Lopez.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albin Fojtik and Agnes Fojtik; infant son David Steinhauser; daughter Theresa Lopez; brothers Daniel Fojtik, Joe Fojtik, and Rudolf Fojtik; sister Mary Loesch; infant great granddaughter Skyler Stewart..

Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 9,at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, with a rosary following at 7 p.m. Funeral service was Friday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Fr. Bob Knippenberg officiated. Visitation was at church on Friday.

Burial took place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus.

Pallbearers were Bennie Lopez, Rick Nanez, Randy Stancik, James Guthmann, and Mark Wilburn.
