of Flatonia High School. The Ladycats won the first set as well as the second set, but the Lady Comanches had some awesome offensive plays and were really picking up on Ladycat Kennedy Koehn out of the middle.

The Lady Comanches were able to claim sets three and four. Going into the fifth and final set, the Ladycats and Lady Comanches both played a grueling game. These ladies really were battling it out till the very end. The Ladycats were able to pull away with the victory, winning by two points and securing a seeded second place in district.

The Ladycats have their first playoff game against Woodsboro Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, at the mutual location of Edna High School at 6:30 p.m.

The Weimar Ladycats hosted their annual varsity parents’ night last Tuesday, and it was also the last district game for the Ladycats. The Lady-cats hosted the Shiner Lady Comanches. With this being the last game of the district, this game was do or die. The Lady-cats and Lady Comanches were dueling it out on the court to determine who would be seeded second or third going into the playoffs.

The Ladycats had to pull off a win for a tie with the Lady Comanches, which would lead them to another match played Friday evening. Weimar pulled off the win over Shiner Tuesday evening in four sets.
