LOUISE – Weimar jumped all over Louise early and pulled away late to win its second District 29-2A game in a row 67-57 here Jan. 15.
Davondrae Almeida had ten of his game-high 23 points in the first quarter as the Wildcats got up 24-14 after one period of play.
Louise came back in the second period and chopped the Weimar advantage to five points 34-29 at the half.
Louise outscored Weimar 15-13 in the third period to get even closer and only trailed by three going into the final period of play.
The Wildcats turned on the jets when they had to, outpunching Louise 20-13 in the critical fourth period to win going away.
Two other Wildcats scored in double figures. Vicente Cabrera had 13 points in the game and Clay Barton had 12 points for the Wildcats who raised their district record to 2-0 in district in the Jan. 14 game.
