The Knights of Columbus No. 2153 sponsored their annual Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest, and eighth grade students from St. Michael Catholic School wrote their essays on this year’s theme “The meaning of virtue, and how you live and embody the virtue of Charity”. Winners included Kelly McAfee (first place), Brooke Wanjura (second place), and Rayleigh Huette (third place). The Council also sponsored their annual Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest for students in Kindergarten through grade eight. Winners included: Lillie Herzik (K-second), Chloe Brandt (third - fifth), and Wyatt Wagner (sixth - eighth).
