Read moreThe City of Eagle Lake acknowledged two ladies who take pride in their community and their home. Sisters Eva and Trinita Thomas received the City’s Community Pride Award for their dedication in seeing that their home is pleasing to the eye. The city extended its sincere gratitude to the sisters for their significant property maintenance improvements made at their home in the 400 block of Sixth Street. According to the city, prior to the sisters moving in, the vacant property had no lawn maintenance, no grass, and it was covered with debris. “It just takes work little by little,” Trinita Thomas said. “We hope people see that they can do it, too.” Eve Thomas added, “This award is a blessing. Thank you, God.”
