The Columbus varsity girls’ and varsity boys’ track teams took a trip out to Hallettsville on March 16 for a large meet that featured 20 different schools from surrounding areas. Neither team found a substantial amount of success, as both the boys’ and girls’ teams placed outside of the top-10 in overall school rankings. However, this is partially due to the limited number of participants Columbus actually sent to participate in the meet.

While none of the boys representing Columbus qualified for the state meet, they all finished in the top-10 of their respective weight classes.

The Wildcats continued their strong play against Flatonia, taking a 7-4 victory and staying undefeated in district play.

Not only did they get a clean 3-0 sweep of their opponents, they also had some dominating performances to highlight their impressive play.
