The Weimar varsity girls’ basketball team have been officially removed from championship contention after suffering a tough loss to Hearne during the third round of playoff action. The Ladycats had a solid start to the Regional Quarterfinal game but just could not maintain their offensive pressure as they lost ground and eventually the game by a 49-37 margin.

Their opponent in the round, the Blanco Panthers, thoroughly outplayed the Cards on both sides of the ball, handing the Cards the 77-49 defeat.
