James Peter Torres, JP, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on Sept. 16.

JP was born Aug. 13, 2021 in Columbus. During his month here on earth, he touched many lives and was deeply loved by family and friends. His life was a brief gift to his family that will live on forever.

James Peter is survived by his parents Ryan and Michelle Torres of Sheridan; his three siblings, Ryan Jr, Sarah and Johnlynne “Bea” Torres; maternal grandparents Linda Ochoa of Eagle Lake, Peter Reyes of Eagle Lake, and Cecil McDonald of Sheridan; uncles James “Peewee” Ochoa of Eagle Lake, Rene Torres and wife Toni of Rosenberg, and Brandon Powell of Simpson, LA; aunts Kyliee McDonald of Sheridan, and Carol Powell and boyfriend Jamey Sims of Sheridan.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Beatrice Torres and maternal grandmother Lena Mc-Donald.

Memorial services will be at Glidden Baptist Church Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. Dinner to follow services.
