Read moreRoger Maupin, WISD Girls Athletic Director, was guest speaker at our 1st meeting of September. His talk was particularly interesting due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the opening of school on campus. Needless to say, there are numerous changes that have been created to insure safety for all involved. One UIL rule dictates that all students participating in sports must attend school in person---not distance learning from home. Other changes limit attendees at all sporting events, no volleyball tournaments, fewer football games, and down-sized cross country meets just to mention a few. Even tickets to sporting events must be obtained using a voucher system. Needless to say, school has become much more complicated. Covid has increased the workload for all teachers, and students have additional rules and regulations to follow. But, we all have to do what we have to do! Courtesy
