Coach Troy Bohac was promoted to the head coach position of the Cardinal boys basketball team. He will be the coach for the rest of the year. Bohac replaced Coach Stickney when he resigned recently due to health reasons.

When asked about the victory Coach Albers said, “We jumped ahead 15-6 and never looked back.” In the end, that lead was enough to earn the Lady Cards a 51-31 victory. The high scorer for the game was Mathis with nine points. Tribe brought home eight points and Upson scored seven. The victory over Industrial will advance Columbus to 16-3 for the season and 9-1 in the division. All future games are being rescheduled due to the current COVID condition. Anyone wanting to know more about upcoming events will need to check the Columbus ISD’s website for dates and times.

Joey Ramirez scored 17 total points with 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Kederan Wilson and Brady Henke put up 6 total points followed by Felix Sanchez with 4 total points, and Clayton Nunnelly with 3 total points. There was no game played on Tuesday against Louise due to Louise’s COVID concerns.
