Read moreThe Weimar Wildcats boys’ team took one gift and lost another during the Christmas break. On Dec. 29, the Wildcats faced off against the Mumford Mustangs and played some hardcore basketball. At the end of the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 69 points. The Wildcats put up a great battle in OT, but Mumford was hot with three-pointers, giving them the win by one point with a final 71- 72 score.

Still, the teams split the lead with Columbus out maneuvering Rice in the first and second quarters, and Rice attacking and outplaying the Cards in the third and fourth quarters. In the end, the Lady Cards came out with a 43-30 victory. The top Lady Card was Mathis with 13 points.
