On Feb. 11, the Columbus Girls Basketball team travelled to Nixon Smiley to take on Jourdanton. The Lady Cards won the game 32 - 29 with Coach Mike Albers saying, “We got off to a real slow start but played good enough in the third quarter to finally get ahead and held on for the Bi-District win!”

Read moreColumbus shut down Tidehaven taking the lead early on and never looked back. On Feb. 9, the Cards won over Tidehaven 54-32. Carson Wray led the point field with 30 total points and was 8-8 from the Free Throw line. Cristian Reyna put up nine points by scoring three, three-pointers. Ryan Barnes came away with six points, Colton Pitchford, Trevor Berger, and Tyvone Whitehead each with two points. Trace Berger rounded the game out with one, three-pointer.
